    Stoneyholme Choir on Tour!

We have been extremely busy over the past few weeks, taking part in a number of concerts around the theatres of Burnley and Pendle.

Having received an invite from our Chair of Governors, Mr Pentecost, we attended the Pendle Music Festival, where we wowed the audience with a fantastic performance on the Indian Dhol Drums before raising the roof with a selection of songs including You’re the Voice and Stronger Together.

We then attended Burnley Schools’ Gotta Sing, in partnership with Stafford Sports and Performance Academy, at the Mechanics. It was thrilling to take part in this as we had a backstage pass to rehearse behind the scenes; then we were lead onto the stage for the curtain to be raised and the lights to shine on us whilst we stunned the audience once again with our fantastic performance.

Below are several photos of our performances. Hibah Munir (5I) led the audience in sign language throughout both performances and did a marvellous job of it. One child asked their teacher if she was actually deaf and was utterly shocked to learn that she was in fact just extremely talented and had learned the actions for the shows.

The staff involved were extremely proud and honoured to be able to take part and watch us perform (we even reduced a few to tears!) Please keep checking the website for updates of our up and coming events as we have been approached by several schools asking us to perform for them in the near future.
