Here is your teacher's 'for' argument for the discussion text: 'Are humans really dealing with global warming?'

An argument for humans dealing with global warming is that the UK Government has already taken steps to become a leading country to tackle climate change. In fact, they have made a commitment to reduce greenhouses gases by 50% by 2025 and go to net zero by 2050. Furthermore, they are going to ban the sale of cars and vans powered by diesel or petrol from 2030 and instead provide electric cars. Already, electric car sales in the UK increased by 43% while petrol and diesel car sales dropped by one-fifth in 2020. Therefore, it suggests that people’s attitude to reducing carbon emissions is improving too. Also, the UK government are currently working on having greener communities. They are offering households smart meters so that they can monitor the amount of energy they are using, promoting the use of public transport and working towards making buses more eco-friendly. If humans continue to reduce carbon emissions, surely the effects of global warming will reverse in time?
