Step one: read through 'The Snargets' story resolution and ending.

Step two: read through your resolution and ending part of the plan.

This can be found on Seesaw.

Step three: use the 'Snarget' resolution and ending, and your plan to help you write your own.

Look at Miss Hall's example below to help.

She looked at her plan to help her write.

Barney jumped fallen tree-trunks and burst through banks of nettles without caring for the stings. He ran as fast as his legs would carry him to reach the chalk pit. As he neared Stig’s den, he moved as quietly as he could so his pursuers could not hear him. Finally, he flung himself through the doorway and collapsed on the floor of the cave puffing and blowing.

“Hullo Stig. I’m jolly glad to see you!” panted Barney.

Stig was busy sharpening a spear and making some bows and arrows. He grunted and pointed to his drawings on the wall and made jabbing movements with his spear. Perhaps he was in the mood for hunting! Surprisingly, Barney began to feel sorry for the Snargets. He couldn’t set this monster on to three little boys who hadn’t really done anything to him yet.

Then from outside the den came the sound of the Snargets.

“Cor, wait till I get my ‘ands on you, Barney, wherever you are!” taunted the eldest boy.

We’ll rub nettles on ‘im ‘til he cries like a baby,” cried the youngest.

As they searched around the area, the Snargets found the hole that led to Stig’s den.

“There’s a ’ole! ’Ere there’s a ’ole!” shouted the second as he took a large conker out of his pocket and threw it through the entrance. It hit Stig smack on his head with a THUD!

Stig gave one roar and charged out of his doorway with his spear in hand. The youngest Snarget squealed like a mouse while the eldest two Snargets sprinted out of the chalk pit like Olympic runners. Stig threw his spear which just skimmed past the boys’ legs. Within seconds, the boys had vanished.

Barney thanked Stig for his help. He responded with a smile and a grunt.

Later, when he got back to his Grandmother’s house, Barney discovered he was in good time for dinner as Granny was just dishing out sausage and mashed potatoes.

“Did you find something fun to do outside, dear?” asked his Grandmother.

I had a scary but thrilling day, Grandma. The Snargets were going to torture me but Stig saved me. They thought they were tough but they are not as nearly as tough as Stig!” chuckled Barney.
