In Athletics, we will perform various throws using pull, push, and sling actions for distance. We will also explore different running and 5 jumping techniques. We will recognise strengths and areas for improvement in our own performance.
In Orienteering, we will follow our Whole School Cross-Curricular Orienteering Scheme of Work. We will be cooperating and working together as a team to complete challenges. We will generate ideas, try out different solutions, follow concise instructions and use individual strengths. We will support and encourage our team members.
We will develop ways of travelling, jumping and rolling. We will be balancing using small and large body parts and will create a sequence of travelling, balancing, jumping and rolling actions. We will suggest ways of improvement and make judgements on qualities of performances.
We will explore movement to communicate characters using travels, turns and gestures. We will be communicating narrative with partners and combining sequences to create final performances. We will describe, interpret and evaluate our own and others Dance.
We will demonstrate a forehand and backhand shot with consistency. We will direct a shuttlecock and tennis ball to partners to perform rallies. We will also demonstrate simple tactics and incorporate points in a game situation.
We will send and receive a rugby ball, move into spaces to receive passes and travel with a rugby ball with control. We will use simple tactics to outwit opponents and apply simple attacking principles in an invasion game. We will evaluate and recognise our success.
We will demonstrate bowling underarm with accuracy and consistency. We will also learn how to strike a Cricket ball off a tee or drop feed using a Cricket bat. We will demonstrate how to catch and throw a Cricket ball when fielding. Finally, we will aim to use all the skills and tactics demonstrated and apply them into a modified Cricket game.
