 Investigate

Plastic bottles are one of the largest contributors to the single-use plastic found on our beaches and in our oceans.

How long do you think it takes someone to drink a small bottle of water?
Most people will hold on to a bottle for only an hour or so before they throw it away or recycle it.
But the lifecycle of a plastic bottle is much much longer than that. It takes a huge amount of time, energy and resources to create one single bottle.

Watch the video below to find out how plastic bottles are made

 Act

Think of an action you or your class could do to remind everyone the importance of having a reusable water bottle to help reduce the amount of plastic waste and pollution in our school, our local environment and around the world.

 Inspire

After the Summer holidays, we will invite parents and other people to come to our 'Stoneyholme Against Plastic' exhibition to raise their awareness and join us in our actions to help reduce plastic pollution.

Ocean art project - Dolphin

We would like you to create a large dolphin picture using the plastic items you have collected. Here are some examples of what other people have done using plastic.
