Year 1
In Year One, we love learning outside the classroom.
We have been practising our maths skills outside.
We went on a winter walk for science/geography. We could see our footprints in the snow and our breath in the air as it was so cold! ❄️
As part of our learning in RE we visited Hurstwood church and learned about baptism. We then went on a walk around Hurst Wood.
We went on an autumn walk as part of our learning in science and geography.
We have been writing labels for pictures. We also labelled human and physical features in our playground.
We have been observing and naming plants in the school grounds and on our visit to Springwood Garden Centre.
In Summer 1 we planted Runner Beans in plastic cups. We then investigated the germination process.
