Children’s Mental Health Week 2023

Meaningful Connections

We think about mental health and wellbeing throughout the year at Stoneyholme when we talk about the Colour Monster, take part in activities like yoga, Daily Mile, Mindfulness, story time and learning outside the classroom.

This week, we are going to join children around the country to think about ways we can make meaningful connections-to family, friends and others- which can support our mental health and wellbeing.

Article of the week:

Democracy:

In our school, we have voted for people who we think will gather our ideas and voice our opinions to make change happen.

What responsibilities do Duty Bearers have?

Draw a picture of a Duty Bearer in your life- at home, in school or in your community. Around the outside, write ways that they can make it easier for you to share your views.

Reflection:

What ideas do you have to make things better- in school, at home and between your friends?

We are going to make meaningful connections between the work we have been doing in school helping the birds with the community. We are going to make bird feeders that you can share with other members of the community to protect even more birds.
