Teacher's Model and Scaffolding

Dear Alice,

I am writing to you to encourage you to come back and see all of the friends you made during your last trip to Wonderland. It has been noted that there seems to be a piece missing here without you. In this letter, I will be outlining why you should come back.

Firstly, the Queen of Hearts has calmed down since your last visit. She is now so friendly it is like you’ve been hit with a bucketful of happiness! She is always inviting people to her castle for afternoon tea. Additionally, she is hosting a croquet competition, which you should enter. You were absolutely fantastic at it last time; I think you could win the whole competition! It would be so much fun for you to be here. Don’t you remember how much fun you had last time? We could have many more adventures together!

The second reason is, all of your friends are missing you deeply. Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum have been rehearsing endlessly for the next tale that they are going to recite for you. They are working extremely hard to make sure it is perfect for your return. You wouldn’t want all that hard work to go to waste, would you? Meanwhile, the Mad Hatter and March Hare are deeply downhearted. This is due to not having you attending their fabulous ‘Un-Birthday’ Parties. In their opinion, it is just not the same without you. It lacks the energy that it used to have when you were here. Whilst I understand your view that you have a life back home, I think differently because I see all of the sadness your absence has created here in Wonderland. By coming back, this would change drastically back into happiness.

Thirdly, most reasonable people would agree that when you left you left so many people feeling disheartened. This is because you missed out on meeting some of the most amazing people here in Wonderland. For example, who doesn’t want to meet the world-famous Professor Pig? He, amongst others, are dying to meet you and feel heartbroken that you have waited so long to return. Therefore, it is of great importance that you return to meet all these fabulous people who just want to spend a short time with your greatness! Consequently, this will reduce the amount of people who are yet to meet you and create much more happiness here in Wonderland.

Overall, by returning to Wonderland you will be making everyone here brighter and merrier. You are bound to have more fun than staying in that boring library reading books without pictures! I hope that my letter finds you well and that you change your mind soon about returning. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Cheshire Cat
