Step one: read through 'The Snargets' story problem.

Step two: read through your problem part of the plan.

This can be found on Seesaw.

Step three: use the 'Snarget' problem and your plan to help you write your own.

Look at Miss Hall's example below to help.

She looked at her plan to help her write.

Barney waited until he could no longer hear their feet crunching on the ground. He came down from the horse chestnut tree and headed to the fire the Snargets had made. He wondered what the marshmallows would taste like that they had left. Quickly, he searched the area around the fire but he could not find any marshmallows. Suddenly, Barney heard a voice.

Gotcha! Ya thought you could outwit us, didn’t ya?”

It was the Snargets! They’d played a trick on him and crept back. He was in for it now.

With some nervousness, he turned away from the flickering fire and faced the Snargets.

“What was you doing near our fire and watcher mean by chuckin’ conkers at us?” asked the second oldest Snarget.

You’re not the only hard ‘ens around here,” replied Barney pretending to be brave. However, he was not sure just how rough these Snargets could get.

“I reckon we ought to lynch ‘im on the spot. Take ‘is jacket off and burn it int fire!” said the eldest with a growl.

“You wouldn’t dare!” snapped Barney but he wasn’t too sure. There was only one person who could protect him and that was Stig. He had to get to his hut.

As the gang slowly moved in on him, Barney danced around the fire and darted off at a run towards the other end of the copse.

Quick, catch ‘im!” cried the Snargets as they bolted off after him.
