Multiply and divide numbers to 1000 by 10
Remember, when you divide by 10, the digits move one place to the right.
The digit in the tens column moves to the ones. The digit in the ones column moves into the tenths column.
27 ÷ 10 = 2.7
Since the digits have moved to the right, the 7 must move into the tenths column (at the other side of the decimal point). The 2 moves from the tens column to the ones column.
