In Talking Maths this week, we will be looking at time.

 

Today, we are going to use a timeline to help work out the time.

 

Example

What time is it 35 minutes after 12:50am? 


On the timeline below, what time would go at the start?

 



What would be the next hour?

How many minutes to that hour?

How many minutes left from the 35?

What time would it be at the end?

 

 

 

Draw a timeline to show your working out.


 

  1. What time is it 40 minutes after 2:30pm?
  2. What time is it 20 minutes after 5:55am?
  3. What time is it 35 minutes after 9:40pm?
  4. What time is it 55 minutes after 7:30am?
