Literacy
We will be reading the Middle-Eastern enchanting and magical folk tale Aladdin. We will explore the vocabulary and demonstrate our understanding through role-play and drama. We will also collect our favourite words and phrases to use in our own writing. Keep checking this page to see our progress.

We will identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants, and how they depend on each other.

We will be developing skills in programming. We will test and amend instructions as well as writing our own algorithms and predicting the outcome.
History
We will use a range of sources to answer questions and explain how and why people acted like they did in the past.
Geography
We will devise a simple map and use symbols in a key.

We will be learning about Hindu’s beliefs about God
Explore how and why Hindus believe it is important to express their devotion to deities
Identify aspects of Hindu worship- know that Hindus might worship at a Mandir and/or a home shrine
Recognise items that might be used in Hindu worship and talk about their usage and symbolism
Music
In Music, we will be listening to and discussing how music can teach us about looking after our planet. We will sing, play instruments and perform. You can encourage your child to respond to music by asking: 'Do you like this?' 'Does it tell a story?' 'Has it got a fast or slow beat?'
P.E.
We will be learning different skills for athletics in PE including throwing, running and jumping as part of an obstacle course. We can't wait!
British Values and Rights Respecting School
We will continue to develop our understanding of British Values linking them through our learning and in our assembly times. This half term we will focus on Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and the Rule of Law.
We will focus on article 29: Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child's respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.
