When we learned about plants and trees we labelled diagrams. Can you remember what a labelled diagram is for?

 

Well done if you remembered that a labelled diagram is to give the reader information about the parts (in this case of the plant).

Let's see if that is the same for another labelled diagram. What is the purpose of these labels?

Sometimes boxes of information are used to inform the reader of more information. Look at the picture below. This doesn't name the parts of the next but it gives information about what happens inside.
