LC: To draw inferences round a character's thoughts, feelings, actions and motives.
LC: To justify your inferences confidently with evidence from the text using point and evidence.
Writers leave clues in the text to help the reader make inferences on character’s thoughts, feelings, motives and actions.
They don’t share every detail about a character so we have to work out what their possible thoughts and feelings could be and why they act and behave in a certain way.
Let's read pages 24-26 of Stig of the Dump. Your teacher will model to you how to make inferences about character's thoughts, feelings and motives for actions based on what they have read.
