LC: To develop active reading strategies by generating questions.

Good readers ask questions about the books they read.

Before they choose a book to read, they ask questions about the front cover and blurb in order to make sense of the book, and decide whether the book is something that they would enjoy.

Today, it has been your library bus visit therefore you have already selected a new book you would like to read.

I'm sure you must have asked some questions, in your mind or aloud, before deciding that you would like to read the book you have chosen.

Here is a book your teacher is thinking about reading.

Listen carefully to your teacher generating questions about this book and then writing these questions down.

Did they ask a range of question types?
