R.E.

As we have been looking at Islam and what matters to Muslims and how they make time for prayer. I want us to focus on, what matters to us and how we make time for things that matter to us?

Talk to your partner about:

Do the things that matter to you are they both the same, or different and how?

Here as few examples of some Athletes and their famous rituals that they carry out before, during or after their game.

Serena Williams is a famous women’s tennis player. She has some rituals that she likes to follow. She wears the same pair of socks throughout a tournament, she does not change, or washes them until the tournament has ended.

Jason Kidd is a Basketball player. One of his rituals was blowing kisses to his wife and children who were sat watching in the crowd, before shooting his free throws.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a well-known footballer. He has many rituals that he follows before and after a football match. One of the rituals he follows after his match is swimming. He will swim for 20 minutes. Not only is swimming a great way to recover from training, but it is well-known for its stress-relieving and relaxation properties. He will swim in complete silence; this allows him to go over key points in his performance and clear his mind.

On purple mash complete this 2Do by answering these questions.

Draw a picture of what matters to you.

How do you make time for what matters to you?

How do you feel when you do not make times for these things?

If you are learning from home, don’t forget to send a picture to your teacher.
