PUPIL PARLIAMENT

Pupil Voice is an integral part of our school.

At Stoneyholme, we endeavour to prepare our children for life in the 21st century and develop into respectful citizens. Through pupil voice, we aim to educate our children on the positive contributions they can make to their school community, local area and the wider world and how their voices can impact change on a local, national and global scale.

UNCRC Article 12: Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously.

Pupil voice enables our children to be able to explore the following whole school concept questions.

What does it mean to be a citizen

Does equality always mean treating everybody the same?

Is power always a positive thing?

Does change always make things better?

Is trade necessary?

Is being part of a community the same for everyone?
