Tricky Word Card
Step One - Read the words in any order
Step Two - Say the word in a sentence
Step Three - Write the word without looking
Reading - They are called tricky words for a reason! Make sure the cards look as similar as possible, children are very good at noticing different colours or marks and then not actually reading the word. Read “as quick as a click”.
Writing - Look, cover, write, check. Hold it in your brain. Try learning the words joined, the hand movement becomes automatic.
