L.C. To discuss and have an understanding of how music is organised.
In music we have 4 'Instrument Families'.
These are:
Brass - Brass instrument is a musical instrument that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the player's lips. They are usually made from brass metal.
e.g. Trumpet
String - String instruments are musical instruments that produce sound from vibrating strings when a performer plays or sounds the strings in some manner.
e.g. Guitar
Percussion - Percussion instruments make sounds when they have been struck or scraped by a beater or a another similar instrument.
e.g. Drums
Woodwind - Woodwind instruments got their name from being made out of hollowed out wood and passing a stream of wind through them to generate a sound.
e.g. Clarinet
