Music

Today we will be starting a new Music focus. It is based around the Dragon song written by Joanna Mangona and Pete Readman.

Your teacher will click on this picture to take you to the song.

You will need to have the website open on the Music page to make sure you know what is happening next.

It’s all about kindness, respect, friendship, acceptance and happiness. We will start with listening to the song.

We will then move on to joining in with the warm up games.

Toward the end of the end of the games there is a chance to use the xylophones again. Your teacher will help you find the app on your I-pad.

Your teacher will be looking for children who are listening to the music and able to follow the notes and the rhythm well. She will be recording the playing to share with Mrs Salha.

If you decide there is time you can look at the flexible games. These are useful for learning about pulse and rhythm.

Because we cannot sing inside, we are going to listen to the signed version of the song. People use signing to communicate when they are deaf or hard of hearing. It allows people to communicate within sound. Can you work out the sign for dragon?
