Today, we are going to continue to learn about equivalent fractions.

Have a look at the in focus question below.

What different ways do you think we could write 1/3 as? What fractions are equivalent to 1/3?

We can see from the above page that 2/6, 3,9 and 4/12 are all equivalent to 1/3.

Use your knowledge of your times tables and you will know that 12 divided by 4 = 3, 9 divided by 3 = 3 and 6 divided by 2 = 3.
