We are going to carry on with our learning on division.
Let's look at todays problem.
Can we put all of the sausages equally on 2 plates?
How can we share them equally?
Mrs Cole said that she places a sausage at a time on each plate so that she shares them out equally. Would this work? Can we try it?

Mrs Cole said she also knew that 9 × 2 = 18, so if there were 18 sausages and they needed to go on 2 plates, it's almost the same thing.
What does she mean by that?
