LC: To apply previously taught discussion text structures and language features in independent writing.
Now that you have planned your discussion text for the question: 'Should tourism be banned in areas where ecosystems are under threat?', you are going to write the discussion text in your literacy (or blended learning) book.
It is an independent piece of writing which means that you need to do it on your own with no help from the person you are sitting next to or an adult. You need to try your best to remember everything you have learned about discussion texts and put this into your writing.
Keep looking back at your plan to help you each step of the way.
Remember to check spelling, punctuation and grammar after each sentence, or paragraph, you write.
Discussion text features
Other skills we have learned that you need to try your best
to showcase:
- Fronted adverbials for 'when' and 'where' that are punctuated
- Complex sentences that start with adverbials
- Commas to mark clauses in complex sentences
Once you have read through your plan, you may begin.
Good Luck!
