LC: To discuss and record ideas for planning.
Today, you are going to work towards inventing a new story based on Clive King's Stig of the Dump novel.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Plan a short story that could easily fit into Stig of the Dump as its own chapter.
It needs to be in the style of Clive King.
Possible ideas that haven't happened yet in the story.
- Barney builds a tree house with Stig's help before the Snargets attack.
-The Snargets invite Barney to the funfair - will it end badly or can Stig save the day?
- Barney and the Snargets smuggle Stig into Grandma's house and hide him. Will Grandma find out?
Remember to think about Clive King's novel features:
- Each chapter takes place in separate periods of time
- Chapters usually begin and end at Granny’s house
- Each chapter usually has a problem and resolution
- In each chapter, Stig usually enters into the adventure in some way
- The chapters link to each other in some way through familiar settings like Granny's house or the dump/chalk pit
