LC: To generate similes to capture the reader's imagination.

Yesterday, we collected and investigated similes that captured the reader's imagination in Clive King's novel: Stig of the Dump.

Here are the similes we have seen so far in his novel.

What is a simile?

Could we innovate our own similes?

Example:

The frozen leaves crunched like cornflakes

The frozen leaves crunched ____________.

What things crunch?

crackers, snow under my feet, crisps

The frozen leaves crunched like snow under my feet.
