LC: To discuss and record ideas for planning.

Before writing your newspaper recount on the discovery of your hybrid animal, you are first going to create a story about it in order to help you think more deeply about your animal.

Your story is going to include an issue and dilemma.

Do you remember this story from last term?

Remember these are the key features of a story with an issue and a dilemma.

A difficult decision is made by a character.

The issues the character has to face is considered when making a decision.

Thoughts and feelings are shared on the dilemma.

It can be linked to real or unreal events.

You will plan your story using the boxed-up Saving Motley Wood plan to help.

You can also look back at your innovated plan from last term.

Possible dilemmas for a story on your hybrid animal

- The hybrid’s habitat could be destroyed by

a new development unless it is stopped.

- The main character discovers the hybrid animal and takes it home. Do they keep it as a pet or release it back into the wild?

- The main character discovers the hybrid animal and notifies the news. Does it get forced into a zoo or is it allowed to stay in the

  wild?

Don't forget to Magpie ideas from the Saving Motely Wood story.
