Introduction

Today we are learning about 17th Century. Do you know what that means?

Century means 100 years. To make time easier to understand we divide time into centuries.

The Iron Age was before the year 0. We know this is called the time 'BC'. The time after 0 is called 'AD'. We are going to think about where the 17th Century 'sits' along a timeline with other World events.

Your teacher will give you a list of 5 dates which you will need to put onto the timeline on Seesaw in chronological order. You also need to decide where the year '0' will be on the line. Please put BC and AD onto the line as well.
