In Year 3 children will bring home a home reading book, a times table cards and spellings to learn. Please encourage your children to read their home reading book and practise their times tables and spellings at home.

Reading at Home

Unfortunately we are unable to change home reading books in school at the moment, due to social distancing regulations. However there are many other reading opportunities to be found online and in the home. Reading the website itself is a reading opportunity.  They can read labels, recipes, instructions, switch the sound off the television and put the subtitles on, amazing reading!!

It is very important that children continue to read every day and children should be encouraged to read for pleasure, choosing their own reading wherever possible. Children who read for pleasure have been shown to do well at school and in later life.
