Different type of verbs
Yesterday, we had a look at what verbs are. Today, we will be looking at different types of verbs.
Who can remember the three types of verbs ?
- Action
- State
- Occurrence
An Action is doing something. For example, the word running:
The dog was running towards the ball.
It can be used to describe a state of being, which is feeling something. For example, the word love:
The boy loves reading.
Lastly, it can be used to describe an occurrence, that is something happening. For example, the word became:
The caterpillar became a butterfly.
Now it's your turn, in your green books write three different sentences, make sure every sentence has a different type of verb.
