GPS

Direct Speech - Speech marks (or inverted commas) show when someone is talking. You will see them written in books as “speech” or ‘speech’.

Task One

Complete the sentences on Seesaw by adding the correct speech punctuation. Remember: The speech marks go around what is being said. Copy all the other punctuation correctly.

Example

"Where does the extra speech punctuation go?" questioned Ayaan.

Just put the speech marks/inverted commas in the correct places on Seesaw. You do not need to write out the sentences again!

The activity is called GPS - Direct Speech
