LC: To understand and use parenthesis
When adding extra information to paragraphs (parenthesis), we need to punctuation to mark the clauses. This can be done with commas, dashes or brackets.
Dashes and commas can be used in place of brackets to indicate parenthesis; they offer a slightly less formal tone in writing.
Copy the following sentences into your book and add punctuation for parenthesis. This could be a comma, dash or pair of brackets.
