LC: To find areas of shapes by counting squares.
Now we know what the area of a shape is let’s find the area.
Where is the area of the shape?
Where is the perimeter?
Remember you can count both the area and the perimeter.
Prove to your partner that the perimeter of the first shape is 12cm.
Prove that the area is 5 squared cm.
Now prove that the second shape also has a perimeter of 12cm and an area of 5 squared cm.
Now go onto Seesaw to complete the task.
