Yesterday, we had the opportunity of writing formally to our new teacher. Today we are going to write informally to the children who will be in Year 2 next year. This doesn't mean we are going to demand things from them like the crayons did from Duncan, but we might start our letters with 'Hello' or 'Hey'.

Talk with your partner (or parent at home) about what it is that you would like to tell the next year group.

  • You might ask them questions about what they are feeling or what they are looking forward to.
  • You could tell them how clever you are because of all the work you have done at home with your number bonds, times tables and spelling and reassure them that they will be just as clever if they put the same effort in.

I'm sure you have lots of ideas!!

We will follow the instructions on the video again like we did yesterday. Remember to use the school address rather than home so you don't share personal information.

If you are working at home, send a picture of your work to your teacher and she will pass it on to the next class on your behalf.
