Today we are going to start to learn our Talk 4 Writing piece, which is a shorter version of our story, Listen! My bridge is so cool.
Everbody has a copy of the story on the 2do, which you can share with your family and continue to learn at home.
If you are working in class, we will be creating a shared story map and actions to learn the piece off by heart. If you are working at home, share the story with your parents and work together to come up with some actions.
It would be fantastic if you send your teacher a video or photos of your actions!
When we draw a story map we:
- draw pictures to show important details rather than every word
- remember to include the punctuation from the story
- include the key words and phrases we have collected from the original story
Take a look at the example of the first part of the original story to help you get started.
Remember to send a picture of your work to your teacher when you have completed it at home.
