LC: To use inverted commas to punctuate direct speech.
The dialogue below doesn’t have any inverted commas, your challenge is to find where to put them.
Said the praying mantis to the spider sweet friend what shall I do?
O no, no, said the spider To ask me is pointless.
Detective Kenyon has reviewed the reports sent through via email from your teacher. He was extremely impressed by the interrogation question that you asked when interviewing the spider.
He now needs to gather more evidence so Year 3 he would now like you to interview the fly!
You must question the fly first. With your partner. 1 of you is the fly and the other is the CSI Police Officer, what questions would you ask?
Now you must write up your official police report. Use the official police report document attached below.
Your teacher will email your official police reports to Detective Kenyon. Hopefully we will have enough evidence to send down the spider.
