This week we have been revisiting our learning about conjunctions. Today we are going to practise using lots of different subordinating conjunctions to join ideas.

Remember, we can use because, when, if and so that to add detail and explain how, when or why something happens.

 

Challenge:

Choose the most appropriate conjunction to complete this sentence.

because/if

I will go to the park _____ you go with me.

 

Well done if you chose if. I will go to the park if you go with me.

 

Challenge: True or false- this sentence makes sense

We go to the beach so that it is sunny.

Well done if you said false. The sentence doesn't make sense using that conjunction.
