Today we are going to concentrate on the language used to persuade.
Last week, we wrote a list of adjectives we found in persuasive adverts.
Your task today is to use those adjectives to describe local landmarks and tourist attractions.
For example, let's look at this picture of Thompson Park.
How would you describe this place to tourists thinking of visiting Burnley?
Use the list of adjectives you created last week.
Remember to choose carefully as not all of them will be appropriate.
Well done if you chose words like beautiful Thompson Park or world-renowned Thompson Park Boating Lake.
Now it's your turn. You are going to describe local places/landmarks using your list of adjectives to attract visitors to Burnley.
