When thinking of ideas for your writing today, maybe collect the following:

 

  • DESCRIPTION - expanded noun phrases, good adjectives (The long, crowded street...)

 

  • ACTION - powerful verbs (scoured, analysed)

 

  • DIALOGUE - ideas for short examples of speech ("Go, now!" ordered Dodger.)
