Now we know the poem off by heart, we are going to use the sentence structure and some of the language to write our own, just like we would if it were a story.
This poem is really good for showing Year 2 spellings, so it's really important to stick to the same tense so we can show that we can add the 'ing' suffix to the end of some words.
Talk with your partner, or a parent if you are working at home, about what each of your body parts might do.
You can stick to the same body parts and just change the verb or you can change the body part and the verb.
For example:
My hands are for drawing
My arms can stretch tall
or:
My ears are for hearing
My legs can run fast
