Work out the answers to the calculations below. One of the numbers is a multiple of 10, so we DO NOT use column method.
eg
20 x 3
Instead, we would do 2x3 = 6
Then as the first number is 20 and not 2, we would multiply the answer by 10 (20 is 10x2) So 20 x 3 = 60
20 x 30
Both numbers are 10 times bigger so in total it is times by 100 (as 10 x 10 = 100) So the answer would be 600.
