LC to make links between the lives of people in the 17th Century and today
Now we are going to learn about buildings from the 17th Century. Watch the video and decide what sort of person would have lived in a house like this. Make sure you have your reasons ready!
Whose house is this?
Have you decided who might live in a place like this? Tell your teacher what you think. Then go to Seesaw and record your ideas onto the document ‘Whose house is this?’
Then tick DRAFT.
Below are paintings of 2 people who did live there.
Now watch as a father and his son walk around the house of a family member.
Look inside a house from the 17th Century.
Now have a look at the floor plans below. One of them is a modern house plan and one is a house from the 17th Century. Which is which? Can you explain why you think this?
Can you use a ruler, squared paper and a pencil to draw a plan of the ground floor of your house? Take a photograph of your plan and then upload it to the Seesaw document called ‘Whose house is this?’ You will then write about how your house is different from the houses in the 17th Century?
