Autumn 2

Autumn 2

English

In English, we will be reading, writing and analysing persuasive letters. We will focus on the structure, presentation and features in a persuasive letter before writing one ourselves. We will link this learning to our learning in Science and PSHCE, where we will be learning all about 'healthy eating'.

Finally, we will be writing our letters to our peers, persuading them to eat fruits and vegetables.

P.E: Gymnastics & Dance

In Gymnastics, we will develop ways of travelling, balancing on small body parts and create a sequence of travel and balance actions. We will also develop ways of rolling, jumping, shape and landing. We will create a sequence of gymnastic actions and perform these using apparatus. We will evaluate and recognise our successes.

In Dance, we will select travelling actions and movements to convey different characters, along varied pathways.  We will also create a sequence conveying a challenge using travel, turn and gesture.  Finally, we will combine all elements, in order to tell a story.
