Welcome to Autumn 2

English

In Literacy, we will be reading the story of Macbeth. We will be using Talk for Writing to learn part of 'Macbeth' so we can write our own version. We will identify new vocabulary and phrases from the story and identify adverbials that link ideas across paragraphs. In reading, we will be focusing sequencing events, retrieving information and making inferences around characters. Towards the end of half term, we will be focusing on playscripts linked to Macbeth.

Through the story of Macbeth, we will be exploring the concept of Power and discussing whether power is a good thing.

The Officer in the picture explained the rules around using fireworks safely. We know that if you are under 18, you cannot buy fireworks.

LOTC and ECO

Have a look below at some of the pictures of children who have been collecting leaves for mulching the beds and weeding different areas around school ready for planting. All the children have used various tools and equipment safely.

We had a special officer come to talk to us about using fireworks and sparklers safely.
