Autumn 1

Little Chef’s:

Come and join little chefs club and become experts at chopping, stirring, and cooking. At little chefs club you will make fun and exciting meals and snacks which you will take home to enjoy! Will you become the next master chef?

Stoneyholme Snappers:

Do you want to have fun and learn more about photography? Then you will love our Stoneyholme Snappers club where you can have fun learning about pictures and take part in photography activities and challenges. This is a unique opportunity for you to learn about how photography works. You will be introduced to different types of cameras/equipment, composing photo scenes, and editing pictures.

Community Willow Weaver:

Be the next super willow weaver. Use the natural resource of willow from the school grounds. Form shapes and creations, using your imagination. Develop your new 3D art skills by designing and making.

Dodgeball:

Come to Dodgeball and learn lots of new skills! You will become masters of: dodging, throwing, catching, deflecting and blocking. We will learn how to play team Dodgeball games and have lots of fun! 

Lego We Do:

We will have lots of fun by:

Building and coding a Star Wars robot

Using Motion sensors to detect objects

Taking part in scientific experiments

Using tilt sensors

We will also use our computational thinking, collaborate with others, use tinkering skills to change things to see what happen and persevere!

Busy Builders:

Stem Building Challenges using different materials and Lego to encourage imagination and have fun.  Participate in exciting challenges which include concepts such as, science, maths, and engineering.

Sketches:

Use your artistic talents and creative imagination on a digital device to enhance your skills with various artistic techniques and tools all on your iPad.

Drama:

Do you like playing games? Do you like performing with your friends? Do you like having fun? Then drama club is for you. We will be creating performances and putting together a final showcase!  

Buzzing Book Club:

Would you like to travel to places you've never been before and meet new 'friends' along the way? Do you want to experience the twists, turns and thrills of adventure? Do you want to be drawn into imaginary worlds where the impossible becomes possible? Do you love reading or would you like to love reading? If so, then our Buzzing Book Club is the one for you. Be prepared to jump into the unknown and unexpected! 

Fantasy Football:

Come and join Fantasy Football and become masters of dribbling, passing, shooting, attacking, and defending.   You will participate in drills which include free kick and penalty shoot outs and will gain self-confidence, determination, teamwork. A Fantasy Fives Football league will also run throughout the five weeks.

Tennis:

Come and join Tennis club, we will have lots of fun learning new skills such as: throwing, catching, serving, forehand and back hand shots. We will work hard on our technique, footwork, and power to build us up to playing rallies with our friends.

Tag Ruby:

Come and learn how to play Tag Ruby! It is a fun filled competitive sport that requires lots of skills. We will learn how to: pass, catch, run with the ball, and attack, and defend by tagging. We will build up to small games and participate in a mini Tag Rugby competition.

Metal Detectives:

Come along and detect lost history like artefacts and coins. You will learn how to use a new piece of equipment (metal detector) and complete challenges individually and as a team. You will develop an understanding of concentration and navigation skills.

Handball:

Handball is like football for your hands, basketball but with a goal. Handball is fast-growing, fast-moving, fun team sport with up to seven players per side. The main aim is to score goals, and there’s always plenty of them! Burnley Leisure will be coming into Stoneyholme to deliver this fun activity.

Chess:

Do you like to play tactical and strategic games? Come and learn the rules and basics of chess. Be the mastermind of the Kind and the Queen, control the Bishop and the Pawn.
