Health and Wellbeing: Busy Bees Gardening

Join our busy bees 🐝 

Planting, digging, watching bees, 

Working in the summer sun ☀️ 

Our gardening club is lots of fun.

 

The Arts: Sing Stars Choir

Sing Stars is the perfect opportunity to become Stoneyholme's very own star, with learning how to sing as part of a group and on your own. We will focus on singing technique, how to present yourself when performing, and most importantly, having fun when singing! Come along to have the opportunity to take part in competitions, trips, and lots of other exciting experiences with Miss Herbert.  

 

Global Citizenship: Nature Detective Twigs

Come and join in fun outdoor activities using natural materials found in our school grounds.

- Collect sticks to decorate for a woodland wind chime

- Build a palace for minibeasts

- Use natural materials found around our school grounds to create a woodland spirit

- Be a woodland artist - create a twig tower or sculpture

- Have a go at woodland whittling

 

Global Citizenship: Sign Language

Learn a new language! BSL (British Sign Language) is away of communicating using gestures, facial expression, and body language. Sign Language is used mainly by people who are Deaf or have hearing impairments, and their families.   

It’s a fantastic new skill to learn and lots of fun too!    

 

Health and Wellbeing: Feel Good Cooks

Feel good about cooking and creating new healthy recipes!! Learn to cook, bake, mix, and stir like a great chef.   

The Arts: Song Writing

Song writing club is the perfect opportunity to become Stoneyholme's very own star, with learning how to write and perform your own music. We’ll be writing lyrics and music, and eventually performing them. Come along to learn a new skill with Miss Herbert. 

 

Health and Wellbeing: Stoneyholme Snappers

Stoneyholme Snappers is designed to provide children with a creative, safe, and fun learning environment. Where young children get to explore creative photographic ideas whilst learning a lifelong skill. And with Spring just around the corner, children will have the perfect opportunity to capture the bloom and the beautiful colours that come with it.Learn how to capture the perfect light, try capturing the sharpest flower shot, master the perfect landscape frame, and why not create your own photo journal. Let’s see where your camera and your eyes take you!  

 

The Arts: Landscape Artist

Learn about styles, colours, composition and become the complete Artist. Observe the great landscape artists of the world spanning the decades as your starting point. Use observational drawing as the beginning of your painting journey, you’ll work through the processes to create a masterpiece.  

 

The Arts: Freestyle, Street & Rhythm

Year 3 & 4, it’s your time to dance! This club is aimed at energetic and enthusiastic boys who want to come together and have fun by expressing themselves through freestyle, rhythm, and street dance! Not only will you become a superstar dancer, but you will have amazing fun whilst doing so!  

 

Sports: Atheltics

Come and develop your agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, throwing, and catching skills.Build your confidence, social skills and improve your fitness! Prepare yourself for Stoneyholmes Sports Day!

 

Engineering: Locomotive Legends

Do you want to continue George Stephenson’s legacy? Then this is the club for you. We will be investigating the first ever locomotive and designing and building our own. Are you going to join us on our historical adventure?  

 

Technology: Creative Content

Learn to create media content by merging varieties of your own content and captured content together. We will use a variety of applications and publish with graphic effects.

 

Technology: Sketches

Use your artistic talents and creative imagination on a digital device to enhance your skills with various artistic techniques and tools all on your iPad. 

 

The Arts: Nature Art

Do you love art? Do you love nature? Come along and combine the 2 with Miss Durkins Nature Creations! We will be using a variety of different skills to produce gorgeous items that you can take home. Will you give them as a gift to a loved one? Or will you keep them for yourself to look at? Let's get artsy!!

 

Global Citizenship: Arabic

Come along to Arabic club and learn a new language with our fabulous Arabic Teacher! It’s a fantastic new skill to learn and lots of fun too!    

 

The Arts: The Art of Film

The Art of Film making - it’s not just about what you see on screen, it’s how it makes it to the screen. Inspired by cinema’s great genres and directors from viewpoints, light and effects. Aspire to learn film techniques, closeups, track and edit and storyboard. Using nature and the great outdoors to inspire your visions. See you there!

 

Sports: Rounders (Y4)

Summer is here and it’s time to get the Rounders equipment out! Stoneyholme’s Rounders club provides an ideal introduction to a great striking and fielding sport. As well as having fun and healthy exercise, you will learn the core skills, techniques, and basic knowledge of rounders games. You will take part in mini games and prepare for upcoming summer events.
