Year’s 3&4 Enrichment Blurbs 

Autumn 2 

Chess 

Do you like to play tactical and strategic games? Come and learn the rules and basics of chess. Be the mastermind of the King and the Queen, control the Bishop and the Pawn.  

 

Mad Science 

Come along to Mad Science where you will have fun taking part in crazy scientific experiments: 

• Rocket blast balloon 

• Static Electricity 

• Bubbling Blizzard 

• Dry erase 

• Duck in a cup 

Additional experiments if needed: Rainbow in a glass, Panicked pepper, Grow your own crystals, Big stick balance. 

 

Little Chef’s 

Come and join little chefs club and become experts at chopping, stirring, and cooking. At little chefs club you will make fun and exciting meals and snacks which you will take home to enjoy! Will you become the next master chef?  

 

First Aid 

 999, come and see how to help in an emergency. You can learn lots of life saving skills from calling the emergency services to dressing wounds, helping if someone is choking to basic life support. It’s all practical with lots of activities for you to experience real life first aid. 

 

Boxing 4 Fitness 

Come along and take part in Stoneyholmes’ Boxing for fitness club. You will master basic boxing movement patterns and punching techniques as well as having lots of fun!  

 

Choir 

We are the all new Stoneyholme choir! We sing, go on trips, enter competitions, play the drums, act in shows and have the best time ever. Come along if you love having fun singing and making music with your friends. ♪♫♪ 

 

Stoneyholme Snappers 

Do you want to have fun and learn more about photography? Then you will love our Stoneyholme Snappers club where you can have fun learning about pictures and take part in photography activities and challenges. This is a unique opportunity for you to learn about how photography works. You will be introduced to different types of cameras/equipment, composing photo scenes, and editing pictures. 

 

Clay Creators 

Designing and creating cool clay art. You’ll design and make a clay creation in 3D, using special tools, enhancing your skills and techniques using malleable materials. You’ll get to use the school kiln and special clay glazes for your creations.  

 

Outdoor Adventures 

Come and join Outdoor Adventures! We will be participating in lots of fun tasks in the Garden; from watering and harvesting, to building insect houses and making garden decorations. 

 

Radio Shack 

Pupils will get hands on experience with an industry standard radio station, researching stories, creating their own segments, and recording there finished parts to create a short radio show. They will be taught the functions of a sound desk and control the recording of microphones, CD’s and online content to create the final show. 

 

Air Fix Models 

Come along to Air Fix Model club! We will learn all about how air fix models work and work together following a step-by-step guide to design, build and cement our own air crafts. You can paint your model and even take it home as a present for a family member or friend.  

 

Origami 

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding, and the name “origami” (“ori” means folding, and “kami” means paper in Japanese). To create origami, we will use only our hands to craft a shape out of a simple piece of paper. We will make animals and our favourite characters, and we will watch videos to show us how to do this step by step.
