Club Blurbs 

Summer 1 

 

Young Explorers: 

Children will research a different country each half term and sample food, greetings, religion, counting, linked with eco issue: rainforest, arctic, no clean water.  Children will research other charities/ incentives worldwide and share learning with the rest of the school.  

 

Little Chefs: 

Come and join little chefs club and become experts at chopping, stirring, and cooking. 

At little chefs club you will make fun and exciting meals and snacks which you will take home to enjoy! Will you become the next master chef? 

 

Buzzing Book Club: (Year 2 only)  

Would you like to travel to places you've never been before and meet new 'friends' along the way? Do you want to experience the twists, turns and thrills of adventure? Do you want to be drawn into imaginary worlds where the impossible becomes possible? Do you love reading or would you like to love reading? If so, then our Buzzing Book Club is the one for you. Be prepared to jump into the unknown and unexpected! 

 

Bug Explorers: 

Do you like bugs? Are you brave enough to take part in our ‘Big school bug hunt’?  On our bug hunts, you will take a close look at the bugs through magnifying glasses, learn the names of all our bugs, what they do and what they like to eat. You will also help build them a bug hotel, plant seeds to encourage more bees and butterflies into our school grounds, make a bug from recycled materials to hang in the wildlife area and have lots of fun outdoors looking for bugs. 

At the end of the 5 weeks, you will receive a certificate to show you have taken part in ‘Our big school bug hunt’. 

 

The Competition: 

Let's get creative and smash some codes, bring your creative ideas to life. 

We can design and develop our games in different programming languages. 

Winners will get GAME DEVELOPMENT certificate and price. 

 

Willow Weavers: 

Be the next super willow weaver. Use the natural resource of willow from the school grounds. Form shapes and creations, using your imagination. Develop your new 3D art skills by designing and making.  

 

 

Art Attack: 

Calling all artists out there, whether its paints or pastels, crayons, or chalk… if you love trying out exciting art projects, using lots of different styles, this is the club for you. You will have the opportunity to try new techniques to create beautiful masterpieces.  

 

Skeleton Screeners: 

Do you want to look inside the human body? Can you build an x-ray machine? In this club you will build an x-ray machine to look at the skeleton inside your body. Become the leaders of iMovie to bring this to life.  

 

Sixes (Cricket): 

Come to Stoneyholme’s Sixes club and learn lots of new skills! You will become masters of throwing, catching, bowling, striking, and fielding. We will learn the rules, officiate, and play in Kwik Cricket games.  

 

Racing Mario’s: 

Come and develop your agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, throwing, catching, striking, and kicking skills. Build your confidence, social skills and improve your fitness!  Have you got what it takes to be Racing Mario? 

 

Outdoor Adventures: (Gardening) 

Come and join Outdoor Adventures! We will be participating in lots of fun tasks in the Garden; from watering and harvesting, to building insect houses and making garden decorations.  

 

Scooters:  

If you think you’ve got what it takes, then come and scoot around Stoneyholme! At Stoneyholme’s Scoot club we will learn lots of fun tricks and take on some exciting assault courses. We will become experts on how to protect ourselves whilst out and about. I promise it will be ‘wheely’ fun!
