Health & Wellbeing: Stoneyholme Snappers
Do you want to have fun and learn more about photography? Then you will love our Stoneyholme Snappers Club where you can have fun learning about pictures, taking part in photography/videography challenges and activities!
This is a unique opportunity for children to learn about how photography & videography works, take better pictures/videos, join in fun challenges in a fun and stimulating environment.
The Arts: Brilliant Book Awards
Do you love reading and exploring new books that no-one has ever read before? In our Brilliant Book Awards Club, we have been asked to read several new books by fantastic authors, take part in lots of different activities linked to the books and then vote for our favourite title. Last year we made pirate hats before reading a story about pirates, models of characters from plasticine, and all sorts of other exciting book related things. We even had competitions and prizes and a special celebration at the end. This is a club not to be missed! (This club will run over two half terms as there are lots of books to explore).
Health & Wellbeing: Feel Good Cooks
Feel good about cooking and creating new healthy recipes!! Learn to cook, bake, mix, and stir like a great chef.
Engineering: Straw Rollercoaster
Come and learn how to design and make your own roller coaster for marbles. Watch as they twist and turn around your structure. Can the marbles make it down the roller-coaster without falling off?
Global Citizenship: Earth Cubs
Come and have fun learning about animals that live in the Arctic, Amazon Rainforest, Serengeti, Great barrier Reef and Stoneyholme through environmental stories, games, and crafts. You will also learn about what actions you can do to help them.
Technology: Green Screen
Using Green Screen technology with iMovie, bring your imagination to life. See yourself with your favourite superhero, driving a sport car, flying in the air, or just relaxing on a sunny beach.
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it.
Global Citizenship: Pet Pals
If your mum and dad have said no to you having a pet at home, then come to Pet Pals to learn about different pets and how to look after them. Over the 5 weeks, you will also help to care for our school pets, we have guinea pigs, a tortoise, fish and 2 chinchillas and work towards earning a Petwise Award for our school.
The Arts: Rocket-a-go
3-2-1… Blast off.
Use your design skills to create a 3D Rocket, with a twist.
Percussion in a Rocket. Cut, glue and build your Rocket. Then use your Rockets to create a blast off percussion and movement sequence. Sound like a blast? Then 3-2-1 let's go!
The Arts: Super Singers
Super Singers is the perfect opportunity to become Stoneyholme's very own star, with learning how to sing as part of a group and on your own. We will focus on singing voices, percussion playing, and most importantly, having fun when singing! Come along to have heaps of fun as well as learning a new skill with Miss Herbert.
Technology: Sphero Indi
Do you like cars? Do you like racing? Come along to our Sphero Indi club where you can program cars to do special moves, pacing over tight tracks and high bridges without falling and can even race your friends.
Health & Wellbeing: Mini Mindfulness
Come and join mini mindfulness meditation and crafts! This will help you find ways to relax.
Sports: Tennis
Let’s learn the skills needed to be a great Tennis player. We will learn how to hit the ball with a forehand and back hand shot and even play games using our fabulous Tennis nets!
Technology: Lego Education Coding
Emerge yourself into coding using the power of Lego. In this club you will build train tracks and add your own code blocks to bring your train to life then explore a new app to practice your skills.
Sports: Gymnastics
Come along to Gymnastics and develop your travelling jump, rolling and balancing actions. We will plan, practice, and perform sequences and have lots of fun on the apparatus!
