Year 4

History: democracy- the opportunity to present work and opinions. Children were asked to discuss what they thought the main reason invasions of Britain were unsuccessful by Julius Caesar in 55BC and 54BC. They were given a selection of reasons with the most important at the top and the least opinion at the bottom with their opinion.

Group 4: we put the weather in Britain was stormy , causing the Roman boats to become damage as the most important reason because the army was unable to invade Britain because Caesar was waiting for more ships to arrive with extra soldiers, food and water but the storm began and ships couldn’t land.

Children enjoyed listening to each others opinions to why they placed the reasons in different orders.
