Mutual Respect
Remembrance day we travelled to Burnley Library centre and to see the cenotaph to show our respect to all those that sacrificed their lives.

During a discussion in RE, Year 1 learnt that the Arabic translation of caretaker is ‘khalifa’. Children thought of questions which were later asked to Darryl the caretaker, a big THANK YOU to our caretaker for running and taking care of our school.
Individual Liberty
We make lots of choices in Year 1 - about what we’d like to play,
who our friends are, what we like to read and how we want to behave. We learn about anti-bullying and this year we wore odd socks to school to show we are all special and unique.
